رحلة في المسجد النبوي الشريف بالمدينة المنورة

في بداية عهد الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يوجد للمسجد النبوي ثلاثة أبواب منهم باب الرحمة و قد زاد عدد البواب في عهد عمر بن الخطاب فأصبح ستة أبواب ، أما في عهد الخليفة عمر بن عبد العزيز فقد وصل عدد الأبواب عشرون باباً، و قد أغلقت الأبواب وكان عدد الأبواب أربعة فقط حتى تم عمل توسعة للمسجد وظل يتزايد عدد الأبواب مع التوسع في المسجد ووصل حالياً عدد أبواب المسجد النبوي ما يقارب مائة باب، و لكن يوجد عدد من الأبواب القديمة والمهمة

أساطين المسجد النبوي السواري (الأعمدة) التي في المسجد النبوي في القسم القبلي منه أقيمت في عمارة السلطان عبد المجيد العثماني في مكان السواري التي كانت في عهد النبي صلى الله عليه و اله سلم من جذوع النخل، فقد تحرّوا عند البناء مواقعها. وإذا أطلق اسم على سارية قالمقصود بذلك مكانها. وفي المسجد النبوي ثمان سواري أسطوانات دخلت التاريخ، فقد كان لكل واحدة منها قصة في زمن النبي صلى الله عليه واله سلم

الروضة، أو الروضة المباركة، أو الروضة الشريفة، هي موضع في المسجد النبوي واقع بين المنبر وحجرة النبي محمد بن عبد الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. ومن فضلها عند المسلمين ما قاله النبي محمد بن عبد الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : « ما بين بيتي ومنبري روضة من رياض الجنة ، ومنبري على حوضي » . وذرعها من المنبر إلى الحجرة 53 ذراعاً، أي حوالي 26 متراً ونصف متر وهي الآن محددة سجاد اخضر اللون مختلف عن بقية سجاد الحرم.
